    DS15 has scabies

He has had a rash for about 3wks now started off small wasn't concerned, it gradually spread to his back and legs. He told me last night one of his friends had scabies so I took him to our GP. It was confirmed, GP said it can only spread to others by wearing same clothing, DS was so sure he wouldn't be allowed at school.

    Yuck!

DH and I got this from sleeping on a couch (we think) a couple of years ago. We found it really hard to get rid of.

Use the cream, but also wash EVERYTHING in hot water - his clothes, his sheets, and get his pillows and bedding into the sun if you can. Probably worth it to wash everything.

Hope you guys get rid of it.

That sucks. MIL told me that DH & BIL had it when they were younger, after getting it from her brother & his girlfriend. She said it was from the bedding.
I don't know much about it, but I hope it clears up soon.

I've stripped his bed already will wash everything, thanks for your advice. He has to cover himself with cream tonight and wash off in the morning and reapeat again after 7 days. Antihistamine for the itching too.

All he needs to do is finish off a novel, unfortunately no other work was set. I'll have to make a list of things he can do in the house, won't be holding my breath though. Oh I forgot he will be tooooooo itchy to do anything .
