I used them and they all dissolved and disapeared in the washer after one wash! What company are you using/getting them from? Maybe I can try from where you are getting them and they'll be of better quality!
I've been using soap nuts for the past 10 days or so and so far I love themNappies are clean and white, don't smell, and are softer than before
If you've been thinking of trying them I say go for it!

Oh bugger! I got mine from an ebay store, It's Australian, I'll have to go and find the name but I'll come back and post.
Ok I got mine from Wild Soapnuts.com. I had to put some new nuts in the little nut bag today I forgot to keep count but I wash nappies every 2 days (sometimes 3 if I'm busy, or distracted) so I think I got about 4 or 5 washes from 6 nuts. I do cold washes so I soaked the nuts in the bag for a couple of mins in hot water then chucked them in.![]()
how do they work?
The soapnuts contain saponins, which is released into the water when you wash. You put the nuts into a cotton wash bag, if you buy from where I did you get one with the nuts, if not you can pop them into a lingerie wash bag or a sock and put them in the machine. Completely natural, so good for the environment, and your skin![]()
