Smile How do you get your OVEN clean?

    What do you use?

I'm sick of using the terrible spray and I'm wondering what else there is to use out there?

    Any ideas ladies

Ohh ohh there is a thread in here somewhere (will link when found) about bi-card and vinegar.
I used it last week and although took some elbow grease it got off HEAPS.. even some of the old cruddy stuff from the previous owners.

A bowl of boiling water in a hot oven for about 30 mins (door closed), turn off the oven and let it cool.
Will steam most of the crap off, then some hot soapy water and a soft scourer, elbow grease and some time.

Easy as, and no chemicals, works a treat. I do it every month and it means there isn't anything too crusty and caked.

Also, wiping out spills etc as the happen will stop you getting a rally manky burnt oven too.

I just did mine on Monday with bicarb and water paste, spread it all over, then soft scourer over the top, spray with vinegar, and wipe it out with a rag. Stunning.

    Supposed to? Who said that?
Second the bicarb & vinegar, but will definitely be trying the boiling water. I clean the microwave that way & it works really really well (and I never thought about doing it to the oven! )

I soak the racks overnight in laundry detergent. It all just falls off next day. Inside the oven I use a scourer and washing up liquid and some elbow grease. Have thought about spraying it with laundry detergent to loosen it but haven't tried it yet.
