    Question Azoospermia - FS rec

My DH thought there was a problem on his end. This was confirmed today when he got the results from the semen sample. He was diagnosed with Azoospermia (no sperm). His very confused/depressed. So I guess the next step is for us to go to the Fertility Specialist.

We have been refered to Fertility Specialist of WA (applecross) which we cant find any real information on. Anyone been here??

But we have read alot on Fertility North, even tho we live in Canning Vale. It might be worth going the extra.

Has anyone had success with ivf where their DH has Azoozpermia?

    Hi Perth_cpl,
So sorry to hear your news. It is a big shock and I know how you feel. My DH was diagnosed with Azoospermia a few months ago. We are in Melbourne, so I won't be able to help you with a FS recommendation, but I could not not reply.
Azoospermia ia not necessarily the end of your TTC journey. There are still good chances that your DH is producing sperm, but that it just doesn't come out. So don't give up hope. My DH had to do a diagnostic biopsy, because this really is the only way to find out whether or not sperm is being produced (all other tests are only an indication) and luckily for us they found sperm, which is now frozen awaiting our first round of IVF/ICSI. We just about to start on our first cycle, so no success story yet, but we have been told that we have exactly the same chances as other couples.
They are definitely a lot of couples out there who had success and their DH had azoospermia, so please don't give up hope.
I know it is such a shock. Give yourself and DH some time to process. My DH was also very shocked.
Sorry that I can't help with any recommendations in Perth. I hope someone else can. Have a look at the Male Infertility thread. I think there is someone from Perth.
Big hug! If you have any questions about the tests or procedures involved please let me know.

Hi Perth_cpl, I moved this thread in here since you're asking for FS recommendations. You're welcome to post elsewhere with questions relating to your husband's condition and treatement options etc. Just note that we keep Doctor/clinic recommendations in one area so we can keep an eye on things for legal reasons.
    Thanks,
