DH is out tomorrow night & I usually make something vego when he's not home & shopping today I saw some small pizza bases & thought that's be great for DS1 & me to make dinner together. However I didn't go back & get anything to go on them & thinking about it I'm not sure DS1 will like artichoke & sundried tomatoes, & I'm sure he'll turn his nose up at mushroom & capiscum (though he could surprise if he's making it himself.)
I have to go out tomorrow so I thought DS1 & I could choose stuff together. Do you have any ideas what I can guide him to choose?
DH asked DD last week what she wanted on her pizza and she replied "LOLLIES...lots and lots of lollies, I want a lolly pizza"
SHe actually likes very little on her pizza, just sauce and cheese but I try to add at least one healthy thing, and, for the record, we didn't make a lolly pizza
DD will give most stuff a crack but usually she picks the basics and then often sundried tomato, olives (always - and have to be whole), snow peas sliced up
DD LOVES olives! Can't get enough of them!
I use the 'pizza base' tomato paste, you can buy - gives it that delicious 'pizza' taste, if that makes any sense! ha!
Also lots of cheese and mushrooms
Great thinking snowy! Think i might have the same thing tomorrow night
my sons favourite home made pizza is ham, cheese, olives and pineapple with an egg cracked in the middle.. He can't get enough of it when I make it sometimes he will have salami on it too.
He also likes my baby spinach and garlic mushroom calzones that I make and you could use that as a topping. Just fry up some mushrooms in a little olive oil with LOTS of garlic, season well with salt and pepper, then add the baby spinach until wilted.. spread over your pizza, add some boconcini (sp?) and away you go yummo
