    Breakfast Idea's?

Been doing BLS with DD2 so far, very successful as well.

She has this week decided its time to start having breakfast as well. So far I have only been giving her vegemite wholemeal toast because I haven't gotten organsied to do anything else. We are usually very busy to get out the door in the morning so I can't spend huge amounts of time preparing anything.

Can anyone give me idea's, I need some inspiration

I don't feel like we have a huge variety, but so far we've done weetbix, yoghurt, toast with either avo, vegemite, cream cheese, melted cheese or plain buttered, tomato wedges (she LOVES these), english muffins with any of those toppings, and usually we share a piece of fruit - so far that's been pear, apple, banana, watermelon, rockmelon, and her fave, orange. I did give her a bit of a boiled egg the other day but she spent the whole time trying to hold the slippery egg, rather than get it to her mouth, was rather funny to watch.

This is coming from someone who use to have vegemite and cheese on toast, every single day, so whilst I guess there is variety, I'm worried we could fall into the rut of just different types of toast every day.

Cereals she can pick up herself like Nutri Grain or Cheerios work. DD likes Nutri Grain (doesn't have it often).
Porridge..I buy the microwavable ones as they are quick and easy.
Human bean has given you heaps of ideas, so yep, anything goes really.

Give her a spoon and a bowl of porridge - she will have a ball!

Avo on toast is good too, thin tomato slices on buttered toast, weetbix, tinned fruit (again, give her a spoon!), yoghurt...
BLS is a great chance to not only ge them eating solids quickly and what you do but also to gve them the opportunity to feed themselves using a spoon or baby fork. And once they are doing that it will open a whole new range of food options and make things a bit easier for you in terms of finding variety of things for them to try.

Omlettes - our DD loves them. I just put cheese in hers and cut it up into easy to handle pieces.

Human Bean has suggested most of the things we give DD. We also give her fruit after her toast - strawberries, watermellon and banana are her faves at the moment.
