    Girls 1st birthday presents

Anyone got any ideas for good 1st birthday presents for baby girls?

I bought her a Wheelybug a few months ago, but she's still too little for it.

For DD's first birthday i am getting her a disney princess toy box and storage thing from toys r us and possibly a fold out couch.

I'm not getting her too much as i know family and friends will spoil her rotten. We are also getting family photos done.

    My DD2 turned 1 a few weeks ago. We bought her;
Fold out couch (Kmart have cute ones that aren't Dora or anything else... DD2's just has a princess & a castle on it)
A push along bike thing... you know the ones that have the flip up storage seat?
A new doll. DD2 loves 'bubbas'
    Some wooden puzzles.
    LOADS of clothes.

DD2 already has a bracelet and ornamental things, so we just bought her stuff we knew she would enjoy now.

From what she got for her 1st birthday, my DD's favourites have been a rag doll with different clothes to dress her in (I have to do the dressing but she LOVES choosing the clothes and putting dolly to bed), and a little tea set including pots for cooking. HTH

I have the Fisher Price my first dolls house for DD. Very cute!
You can get these braceletets called Alphabracelets. If you google that it will come up, that's a keepsake idea for you and our DD

A really good one i found for DD is called a Fisher Price Stroll Along Walker. It is a pram but is made sturdy like a walker so its very hard to tip over. Was great when she was learning to walk and she still uses it now as a pram.

Besides some clothes and toys, we started DD a charm bracelet. So we found a nice gold bracelet, adult sized that can be worn smaller by linking through another loop, and got her first charm to start her off. We plan on adding to it for important birthdays and events and will probably give it to her at her 18th birthday.

We got our DD the same & she still loves it We got her the my first doll to go with it & it fits in really well, but now she has other dolls & teddies that get rides in it too.

I second the FP My first Dolls House and the teaset. Ours are both still played with all the time. They are strong and chunky for little hands but the stories they can create grow with the child.
Do you have the "Build-a-bear" stores over there? I got DD a pink poodle that I built just from me for her first birthday.
Books are always good. I try and get my kids one every year that DH or I write on the inside cover.
