Cleaning cat's eyes?

My cat has allergies the pollen is making her eyes watery and the vet said to keep them clean.
Do I just wipe overmthem with a damp cloth? Or would a tissuembe better?

Yep damp cloth is fine. We use tissues too. Paris's eye's run all the time as we live on a highway and there's lots of dust and etc.

either , either or....we just use a soft cloth or even a wet cotton ball to wipe our moggies gunky eyes. If you are worried about infection etc maybe use a salt bath instead of plain water.....
