20 month old suddenly not sleeping

Hi everyone just was asking about any ideas or suggestions,my DD has always been a good sleeper going straight to bed no problems and sleeping all night no problems except the occasional if she sick or some we put down to teeth but latey she wont go to sleep when we put her to bed,she used to sometimes have a play and then sleep but now she just plays and then she will cry and cry and then when she finally goes to sleep she keeps waking in the night only once but still,i cant seem to go back to sleep,im just wondering if this is a new phase maybe and she just testing me or what?Since i havent had a problem with her sleeping i dont really know where to start now to get her back to sleep and if i try ignore it she wont go back to sleep she just crys,i seemed to think these weird sleep stages were nearly over obviously not!I know ive had it good for so long but i find now days shes so full on i need my sleep more than ever!Thanks!

Are her incisor teeth through? I'm going through hell at the moment with my DD who is 18 months. Waking up screaming from her day naps (which have only just started again), waking up screaming though the night, sleeping so restless. She's cracked through two incisor teeth this week (poor bubba) and just today she didn't wake up screaming from her nap and fell asleep without fuss at about 9.20 (when lately its been around midnight). Good luck, it really sucks

I'm thinking it might be a phase at this age? My DS is 23 months and I've had the same problem for a few weeks now. He was always the perfect sleeper and now we have such trouble getting him to sleep at night and then he's waking during the night as well. He's fine as long as one of us is in the room with him. Several of the others in my mothers' group are experiencing the same thing. Hopefully they go back to normal quickly!!
