Post What type of cleansers do you use?

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know what type of cleansers or facial washes our members use and how often a day? Do you also use a face mask? If yes, how often? Another question, how often do you change cleansers?

I am 32 weeks pregnant and currently using Neutrogena. The orange coloured one, once a day if I can be bothered. Not so sure if its working. My face, especially my forehead is pimply. Don't know what to do. My face is dry not oily.

Would love to hear from members.

I use a natural cream cleanser from Pure Earth Noosa (online store) and the moisturiser that goes with it. Once a week I use the facial scrub that is also part of the set with the cleanser and moisturiser.

Also I found it didn't matter what I did, my skin was horrible during pregnancy, within about 1-2 months after birth it was all good again

    Hi there,

I use a goats milk bar, all natural, as I don't like putting too many chemicals on my face.
I've been using moogoo udder cream as a mosituriser on my face.

Thank you for your quick reply ladies.

    Babyluv,

How do you find your current cleanser? Good or not so good?

    Sally,

So, does that mean you don't cleanse during pregnancy?

I use gamophen medicated face soap, you can get it at woollies or the chemist,

It's cheap as and is good for problem skin, which I have had since fell pregnant with ds. He is nearly two !!!

I find it really good because it's mild, I have dry sensitive skin that is prone to pimples too.
I use the cleanser bar which seems to balance the moisture in my skin, it doesn't feel dry and tight and it doesn't feel oily either, just right.
I then put moogoo around the areas that don't get pimply, mostly my eye area, cheeks and the dry spots either side of my mouth area. I avoid moisturiser on my chin, forehead and nose unless it feels overly dry and I think I need it.
I used to use a biore cleanser but it was just too harsh, skin has been much better since i've cut out the chemicals and gone more natural. If I get a big pimple though i will apply some benzac to the pimple only over night which dries them out super quick.

Mokosh Powder Cleanser. It is a wash and a mask. Wash once a day in the morning, in the arvo only if I am having a grotty day or really oily (lol). Mask once a week.

Best stuff ever I love it, all organic, fair trade, no crap so doesn't agrivate my acne (acute cystic acne).

If I need to, I use Witch Hazel toner, get it form the supermarket or priceline. Only need it every so often, but will dry up any pimples and clean the oily gross feeling if I am in a hurry or on the go, I keep it in my handbag.

I use Akin cream cleanser and I have really dry (read cracking psoriasis) skin with patches of oil. I only use it in the morning in the shower but it's lovely.

In regards to the pimples in preg, I have been a religious cleanser and moisturiser since I was 13, and no matter what I did while pregnant I could not get the pimples under control.
