    Constipation in a toddler TMI

I think my DS (20months) may be a little constipated. He usually goes every second day. He doesn't seem to have trouble going and it doesn't seem to be hard - usually the opposite. One little grunt and it's out and quite soft. BUT... on the days he doesn't go, he turns into a whingy clingy little monster and sleeps really badly that night - waking every 2 to 3 hours and waking early for the day. When he does go, he is delightfully happy, well behaved, able to play on his own for short times and generally sleeps a lot better as well. I have been tracking this for a few weeks now and there is a definate correlation between his behaviour and when he does his no 2's. It's like he's two different boys!

Any ideas on how to get him moving every day?

    TIA

Lots of fruit , especially sultanas and water too. Warm baths help move it all along too. It's horrible when they won't go.
