Ok Tell me about Alan :)

Hi Ladies, I haven't been on the forum for a long time and really have only lurked. I am a member of another forum and trust the women's opinions on there.

I have just found out I am pregnant with our 3rd child and are thinking about a home birth. Now I have found out that Alan is an IMW for the Cairns area and I want the goss on him

He's an extremely nice guy and he posts funny jokes I'm sure he will pop in here himself to give you the lowdown haha.

All i can say is from what i have seen on here if i was in his area he would be my first choice, very compassionate man and knows what he's talking about.

He is a compassionate and extremely respectful person. If he worked where i live i would definitely be talking to him. Sometimes i even think i'd like to marry him

Alan has some great jokes and pays attention during a birth (you can tell from the birth stories he writes with great detail) and from what I have read he assists the woman as his tag line in his sig says

If I were in his local area, he would be a great choice

No goss - just a great rap and lots of support for our Alan

He would be my first choice if I was confident enough to have a HBAC. I had a pretty traumatic c section (which apparently is stock standard with high order multiples) so theres a constant fear with my choice of VBAC. If I can successfully manage a VBAC this time #6 will be a HB.

I've worked with Alan, and we have spent many a night shift together. He is an amazing man and midwife =) he taught me alot, and all I saw from him was respect and professionalism all the way with the women, and he had this amazing relationship with the women, I dont know how he did it =)
I'd be choosing him in a heartbeat!

I've met him. He is lovely. Very down to earth. I would have had him except a) couldn't afford a homebirth and b) hubby wouldn't agree.
