LOL! Very cute!
Might have been a "had to be there" moment but I had to tell someone and DF's not home.
We were outside hanging out the washing when DS pointed to something around the corner and said "Shish! Dat?? ... Shish!"
"Shish" means fish. Obviously there wasn't a fish on the back patio, so I went to have a look and it was a big fat beetle crawling towards the dishwasher.![]()
Me: "Oh! A beetle"
Isaac: "shish!"
So I picked it up and put him on the grass and moved DS, in his highchair, closer so he could watch it going about it's business and I went back to hanging out the washing.
Then he started talking to it again.
Isaac: babble babble "shish!" babble
Me: "Beetle"
Isaac: "lee-lul"... babble babble babble "lee-lul" and continued talking to it for a while. Then he stops and says "lee-lul?" and does thiswhich is the sign for gone.
(we went inside a few mins later and I parked him in the bedroom to put the dry clothes away 2 mins later who do I see crawling across the carpet? That cheeky beetle!)
LOL! Very cute!
naaaaw ... gorgeous![]()
I was thinking he had eaten it when he was signing gone (which is what my DD would have done LOL).
Great story thank you for sharing.
