I have made a couple of plain and simple photobooks through Albumworks but their new software is quite tricky to use, so have been looking through Momento's website. I downloaded the free software and it looks great, easy to use and so many options. But at 50 cents - $2 per PAGE?! Is it worth it?
the quality of the printing varies greatly depending on where you pring them - you pretty much get what you pay for. i have friends who've printed through momento and the quality far exceeds that which you get through places like big w etc. i was planning on printing E's books through a cheapy place, but the reality is that i don't want to waste money on cheap crap so i'll save up and pay for it all through creative memories (works out cheaper than momento til you do about 150page book) or momento - only downside for most is that the program for CM is one you but - the free version has no room to properly play
Thanks for that. You're right about getting what you pay for, I don't mind paying $$ for good quality.
I must check out Creative Memories for making Moo's scrapbook, yours is amazing!
i have the paid version -it's not cheap - but once you have it, you don't need to use CM elements if you don't want to - you can download lots of freebies from the net - you can go looking for one particular thing (and download 900 others while looking!) to finish your page perfectly
I've done two momento albums for holidays overseas and have been very happy with the program and with the quality of the printing. Have have lasted beautifully (first one is about 4 years old now) and they show up the colours accurately and no printing errors. I will be using momento for DS's first year book (must get started on that!).
Momento is much more flexible that other "simpler" programs like Big W and Snapfish album creators.
