Hi. Not sure if this is where to put this or not, but couldn't find anything else that sounded like the right place...
I had heard of an online place to swap stuff to do with kids but can't remember what/where it was and can't find the magazine article I thought it was in... I think you could put your stuff on there, give it a value and then just swap up to the values you had or something like that. I have cloth nappies and baby clothes to swap, but don't want to swap them for other cloth nappies etc, so can't do it here on BB in the nappy section... and I've heard you can't sell cloth nappies second hand on Ebay... mine are hardly used because I ended up with RSI in my hands with DS1 and the snaps were way too painful on my wrists All that money just wasted...
Does anyone know of the sort of site I mean? Maybe I was imagining it... I tried googling it and didn't get anywhere but may not be using the right words to search... any help would be great!
No idea what you are talking about lol
I know of Freecycle...never used it though so not too sure what it is exactly.
There are a couple of places you can sell/auction second hand nappies - Buy For Baby is one, there is also a FB group that is very successfull - you just post pics, details and people comment, you arrange payment and post between the two of you.
Also try looking at Kidspot - they ahve classifeds on there too, so you can sell anything, if you mention what you want to swap for etc people can just contact you to discuss it.
thanks for the ideas. I just found Swap Kids Clothes there's an annual membership fee, you send your stuff in, they give you the points (scale can be viewed on their site) and you use your points to 'buy' other stuff but have to pay postage... anyone used it? they don't do the nappies though... will investigate further...

I want to make it clear that This thread was to find out what others do with their stuff and if anyone knew the sort of swap thing I had read about but couldn't find. I was not ignoring the terms of bb and attempting to sell anything on here... Are we all clear now?!
Glad you found the site you were looking for. Another alternative if you wanted to sell your nappies could be your MCH Centre? Mine has a notice board where people put stuff, perhaps yours has the same? Just thinking of a place where a specific market might be ... I mean we all visit the MCHNs don't we.
just another idea for you. Best of luck with the nappies, shamed the RSI prevented you from using them. I have RSI and have to wear a wrist brace .. so annoying.
Re the rsi, I'm glad to tell you it cleared up when he was about 12mnths and not being carried so much and despite some weakness has not happened this time around to the same extent... Hope yours improves too -it's so painful and utterly inconvenient!
