Allergies - Dairy

We have just discovered that DS, DD and step DD1 is allergic to dairy. They seem to be fine on soy milk luckily!
Does anyone else have kids that deal with this?
Any tips, hints, recipes?
We are really struggling to find dairy free foods for them to eat - snacks especially for school and while we are out..

We are in the same boat. Luckily we have a health food store near us that sells soy milk and yoghurt, we don't bother with the cheese. She is very sensitive and bleeds from the bottom quite heavily if the slightest bit of dairy gets in her.

We also found some soy milk powder at a few health food stores that works well for us, although its not that much cheaper (sometimes more expensive) than the lactose free / soy milk powder for infants.

Snack wise - just fruit, museli bars etc.

Hi.
My ds1 is dairy allergic ( the protein not lactose). Woolworths and coles have " naytura" or health food isles. That's where I get a vast majority of foods from.
There's a company called "orgran" it's allergy friendly aand melindas too, and freefrom. Are all good ones.

With snacks, you can get rollups, there's this fruit nuggets and also fruit juice jelly snacks ( both in the meusle bar isle at the bottom).
There is alot out there. Just gotta know where to look
woolworths home brand so cake mix that has no dairy, just use soy to make the cakes, inthe cake isle at your feet in plastic bags, cheap and very good! Light and fluffy!!

I feel like I lecture but have been doingthis for two and a half years
you get used to reading everything. Soy cheese usually actualy has the milk protein in it. So it depends on what type of dairy allergy you're dealing with.

There's really an abundance of things, just read read read!!

Oooh ingham chicken tenders are dairy free for a quick and easy dinner alot of crumbed food has soemthing kind of milk powder. Four n twenty party pies are good for allergy too.

The guy who runs the shop is super helpful and has a range of dairy free products for chocolate making...
