    How often do you...

OK, so I've been going a little insane lately. I feel like I'm struggling to keep up with everything to the standard I like. I have been sick, DH was on Night Shift (which means i spend the day trying to keep DD quiet and not able to do noisey things), but seriously I'm just having one of those weeks (maybe months ) where I just seem to run around crazily but achieve nothing. So I'm trying to see what is reasonable and wondering how often you do your chores. What are your must do's and your will put off's?

eg. vacuum, mop, clean shower, iron, change bed sheets, clean shower....

Hmmmm. Definitely not as often as I'd like! Probably has a lot to do with bellybelly and my slight addiction. haha!

I sweep probably twice a day (ATLEAST once)
    I mop 1/2 times a week
    I tidy the bathroom daily
I clean the bathroom every 3ish weeks
change bedsheets every 2ish weeks (I do ours more often than the kids, cause DP sweats alot)

    Everyday I MUST -

    Sweep
have clean tidy kitchen (this includes cleaning the floor, i usually just get on my knees and give it a wipe over with a wet cloth)
    have all the beds made
toys packed up as much as possible.
I try and do a load of washing every day. But I get pretty slack, and often end up doing 3/4 loads after a 3 day period.

I find my house is ALWAYS messier, when DP is home. I don't know why... drives me nuts tho!

I vac and mop the entire house every week, usually Wednesdays (DH flies in and out Thursdays, so this way it is all clean when he gets home ;0 and fresh done before leaves so DD isn't under my feet)

The shower gets clean when I am in it every couple of weeks, it is just a curtain, so no glass or anything, but when it was I would clean it every week.

Sheets also get changed every Wedneday or sooner if DD wets the bed, or ours lol Hers get changed twice a week on average.

Toilets get done every few days, DD brings home bugs from kinder all the time, so the door handles, lightswitches, fridge doors, pantry door knobs, toilets, taps and sinks all get disinfected at least twice a week. (Glen 20 rocks for this lol Takes about 3 mins to do the whole lot)

I am getting someone in once a month to do the windows inside and out and also clean the oven - thanks DH!

My must dos though are vacuuming the floors, which can be done up to 4 times a week depending on how bad they get, but I only mop the once.
The shower in the 'kids' bathroom barely gets used so it isn't cleaned anywhere near as often as our ensuite.
The one task that really POs me that I seem to put off is the stove. It drives me BONKERS having a dirty stove, but I HATE cleaning it, so DH does it when he is home, and I try my best not to make it dirty when he isn't!

Oh, Wednesday is my cleaning day because it is when DD is at kinder too, so I can put the music on, do it, get it done and only takes half a day to do EVERYTHING.

I *usually* spread my cleaning out over a couple of days, normally Thursday/Friday. Thursday the bathroom gets cleaned and maybe vacuuming, although I prefer to do that just before I mop. So that all gets done once a week (unless I'm slack like this week and it still hasn't been done ).
Washing I've found I prefer to wait until i have a couple of loads to do, so rather than doing one load every day I'll wait for a few days and then put one load on before I go to bed, then the other in the morning. Of course this only works in summer when it will actually dry! Over winter I was doing one load a day because I had to hang it inside to dry.
I really need to clean the oven and do the windows but DD is so clingy it's hard enough to get the basics done. Our stove top only gets cleaned every 3 months- before the real estate comes to do an inspection!

I find my house is ALWAYS messier, when DP is home. I don't know why... drives me nuts tho!
Same here, DH gets 6 days off, house is always messier and I'm far less productive. I think because he doesn't help and I get fed up with being a slave and cleaning around him and after him, so if he can sit on the couch and do nothing then why do I bust my gut? Kinda a jealousy thing in a weird way. But i guess he knows that I'll end up doing it anyway cos I hate the mess.

We have to use CLR for the shower (never before have I lived where calcium is sooooooo bad!). I clean it every week after I have showered the process takes about 2hrs. But during the week I clean it while I'm in the shower with a less harsh cleaner.
Toilets are every few days also - it's my thing I have to do!
Sheets are weekly, although can get pushed out to 10 days if I get lazy - I normally change in line with DH shifts.
Kitchen cupboards, fridge etc I do every day of a night when I wash up.
LimeSlice gave me motivation to just apply oven cleaner now (it's been a while, I HATE that job).
Vacuuming is about every 2nd day, sweep kitchen a few times a day (how does it get so dirty?), mop every second sometimes 3 days, but spot clean as I go.

My big fall downs are my clothes - not DD or DH just mine. I have heaps of clothes but all don't fit properly anymore (big and small and just not my shape anymore) but I'm too afraid to throw them because I won't have any clothes. Weird. Also, filing and clutter.

Overall, I think I'm clean but mess really gets me down and I find hard to keep in control of.

I totally here you on the night shift thing! My DH just finished 4 night shifts and it was such a pain keeping Moo quiet and not being able to do anything noisy!
    But to answer your question:
Every day I do a load of washing, which alo means everyday I fold and put away clothes or stuff cloth nappies. I do dishes several times per day and tidy the kitchen while I'm at it. I can't stand a cluttered kitchen and can't do anything in it until it's tidy!
A few times per week I vaccuum and mop the floors. I wish I had a dust buster so I could do certain spots all the time such as the rug Moo plays on. Change Moo's cot sheets.
Every week I'll strip our bed which is a big job as it's king sized. I clean the bathrooms every week but one is Moo's so is really not that bad, clean it anyway while I'm at it though. Clean both loos. Properly clean the kitchen and microwave.

Obviously if DH is on night shift I don't vaccuum, if he is I'll try to do it first thing before he goes to sleep. I guess none of what I've written is exact due to his shift work but it works out these things get done on this average, if that makes any sense at all lol!

Maybe once a month I'll do big things like clean the laundry cupboards, go through a few drawers, clean the oven (I HATE doing this!).
