    weird pain..

i was jus walkin down the hall to the bedroom and i had this really weird pain downstairs.. was a one off quick sharp pain.. honestly it felt as if something was gonna come out of my hoohah!! i wasnt carrying anything heavy.. jus a few folded clothes.. only lasted a second or so.. havent had any other pains at all before and since it happened.. freaked me out.. any thoughts??

i have heard you feel a kind of "thud" feeling when the baby drops but im pretty sure it wasnt that.. he still feels pretty high..

maybe he jus hit a nerve or something down there?

I've had the same sharp pains in my hoohaa, not all the time, only occasionally but it also coincides with a heavy pressure feeling down really low, think it's bub moving down.

    I had that too!

For me it felt like something poking through my cervix into my hoohaa. It would make me stop and take a sharp breath. I got it several times a day from about 34 weeks. People would look at me funny - I guess wondering if I was going into labour.

Turns out my DS was born with his hand up beside his head (and had probably been very comfortable in this position for a long time in utero), so I reckon I got the pain when he was streching his arm out/up/down (iykwim).

I found I got it more when I was walking, so maybe try making sure you are getting some rest.

Sounds like your cervix ripening. Was it an electric type shock? I got them increasingly often from 35 weeks. Its a great sign your body is getting ready for labour.

My DD was also born with her hands near her face, so I think sometimes my pains were her little fingers (she popped my waters we think too...cheeky monkey!)
