Question How else can I help her??

DD is so sick. She has a temp, a nasty cough is shakey and generally miserable!

I took her temp before and it was 37.4 but she feels SO hot. I have gotten a little neurofen into her and some water or juice and a piece of toast so far today.
I gave her a quick luke warm bath she didnt stay in to long as she was upset and coughing and gagging.

She is now asleep on the couch under the fan with a light rug on her, she is moaning in her sleep which is a sure fire sign she is sick.

She has had a wet nappy and I am grtting some fluids into her when I can.

What else can I do for her??

I feel so helpless and worried. My mum and dad have had the same thing this week and I am coughing and feel crook but no temp as yet.

I dont know how to help her!

    Kate

Lots of fluids - water not juice, maybe hydrolyte; and cuddles
Keep an eye on her temp too and needed keep the neurofen/panadol if required

Thanks UA. She is in her bed now sleeping but still hot. I'll get some more water and pain relief into her when she wakes. Thanks again.

Poor darling Hope she is better soon, lots of fluids and I was told to treat the fever to the symptoms so if they are shaky and seemingly cold, add a light blanket but if there is fever and they are sweaty and hot then strip them off. Either way no extremes so obviously not a big winter blanket, and keep the house mild if stripping off not freezing. Good luck hun xoxo

Thanks everyone. Dd spent the day on the couch sleeping and I finally got a full dose of neurofen into her and within am hr or so she was up and about eating, drinking and playing. Now if the same would happen for me...panadol just doesn't cut it when I feel sooo sick!
