This boy does not give up

The phone calls have started again. The day before yesterday I answered 5 hang up calls and this morning at 1.00a.m the phone rang, DS15 answered and the person said is that "S" he said yes, who is this, then silence then he said you know who it is and DS hung up. I havn't rang the police because I have no proof it's him, he's putting on a funny voice and I feel like I'm annoying them just over some phone calls, they can have them traced but I know they have much more important things to deal with. Hopefully it's just phone calls and no vandalism.

    Regards,
    Dianne

What a pain in the bum! I would be calling the police anyway, at least that way this person is on their radar (if you have an idea of who it is).

    Hopefully is all goes away

Gr! Can you take the phone off the hook during the night? Or maybe have his number blocked?

Dianne, could you get a silent (ie unlisted) phone number. That could stop the problem permanently. Either that or install an answering machine that answers straight away (or after 3 rings) and then only pick up the calls of people you want to speak to. Turn the phone volume right down so you're not annoyed by the ringing noise. Ignoring it works for all sorts of pesky behaviour!

I know who it is, we have an Intervention Order on him so I should be calling the police but there is little they can do without proof. Before I could recognise his voice but now he is putting on a fake voice so I can't be 100% sure.

Marydean, answering machine is what I'm going to buy today. Can't block his number because it comes up as private, I took the phone off the hook last night.

an intervention order is only as good as the paper it's written on if you don't report what has been happening. yes, you can't prove it's him - but if you don't report it, and have the police do what is within their power, the little snot is going to know it's not being enforced, and is going to keep doing it. if it turns out to NOT be him, you may find out what other little snot is annoying you. it doesn't matter if you don't think it's worth annoying the police about - you went to the effort of getting the intervention order, you HAVE TO report it, otherwise that whole exercise was a waste of time - and HE KNOWS IT!
