My cousin's little boy, who is just 5 months old, has Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). I am terribly worried. They are in Townsville and little Noah had surgery on Wednesday. Before he had surgery, my cousin was told to say her goodbyes. Anyway, he's pulled through the surgery but she's been told not to deceive herself as he is still very, very sick. He has a tube coming out of the corner of his right eye and another going into his heart and he has had a blood transfusion. They have also been administering morphine to him but he is still in great pain.
I am hoping that he will recover from this but I don't know what the prognosis is. I don't imagine that it would be very good. I am asking everyone to pray, or to just keep him in their thoughts. Please.
oh my gosh poor lil man... this is such a terrible thing u and ur cousin must be going through.. i hope he gets better and teaches the dr's a lesson im for him n ur family so so so sorry again best wishes n heaps n heaps of healthy vibes for all ur family...
Thank you everyone for thinking of Noah and praying for him. My cousin Helen says the swelling around his face and head has started to go down, but the doctors have found more "bugs" in his blood. He is going to be in isolation in hospital for a minimum of another three weeks on strong antibiotics. He is a fighter, this little one. Helen is so very tired but buoyed by everyone's love and well wishes for her little boy.
Thank you, Spring Angel. My cousin says her mother and brother have been with them, which is a great comfort.
