I loved loved the Sookie series. Maybe because it was not about teenagers still in school going to their classes all the time. Since then I've tried Fallen and Vampire Academy but I'm not into them at all. Can you recommend some good ones where the main characters are a little older and not still in school?

Crosstitch - or really anything by Diana Gabaldon.
Also Fiona McIntosh is good for a bit of romance with your fantasy.
DH reckons The Axis Trilogy (1st novel is called Battleaxe) is a good one for romance too.
Authors:
Terry Goodkind - series The Sword of Truth
David Eddings - series The Elenium and The Tamuli
They are a couple that I like![]()
Paullina Simmons - The Bronze Horseman series![]()
Aurion series by Maggie Fury (not sure of first name as I cant find the books but surname is correct)
Anything by Christine Feehan
Anything by Anne Bishop or Jacqueline Carey or Trudi Canavan - they've all got trilogies
Guy Gavriel Kay writes some great ones too
I second anne bishop -the black jewels trilogy and the landscapes of ephemera
Maybe I'm not very good at romance? To me this chick was just INSUFFERABLE. I love the Sookie series too.
If you can cancel it do - I am MORE THAN HAPPYto send you my copy xoxoxo
pm me your addy and I will send it if you want. It might just be me not liking it!
I love them!
I've loved most but not all of PS's books, but really liked those ones ... but I guess not everyone is going to like the same things
And I love most everything from Marian Keyes.
Have you read the other series by charlaine Harris? She has a series called The Harper Connelly Mysteries:
Grave Sight (book 1)Grave Surprise (book 2)An Ice Cold Grave (book 3)Grave Secret (book 4)
I also LOVE the Traci Harding novels , The ancient future Trilogy. Have read them 5 times over!
