    Question Anyone bought or sold

Has anyone bought or sold a wedding dress from the website I Do Gowns or Smart Bride? I am finally getting around to selling my dress (after 2 years )and would prefer not to do it on Ebay.

    Any thoughts/experiences much appreciated

We have a guest staying with us at the moment who has bought and sold online. I can't remember what site she used, but will ask when she gets home. She was incredibly happy with it.

Not sure about websites, but have you thought about seeing if a bridal store near you will sell it on consignment?

    Thanks Ladies.

Audax - were you able to get the name of the site by any chance? No probs if not

UntoldAngel - There is a store nearby that does that, but I was looking into the online ones as they don't charge a commission unlike the stores. They only charge a listing fee which is significantly less than commission.

Not yet! Friend buggered off to Noosa for a couple of days. Typical! Due back today - I haven't forgotten you, and will advise.

I sold mine through I do gowns, ended up being to a girl who was getting married the same weekend that we did and it was her dream dress. Seemed like fate!! Was very happy with the website and avoided a heap of fees on eBay as it sold for $800.

Wow, that's good to hear! Did it take long to sell? I was just reading some testimonials on that site, and it varied from like 2 days to a year!

From memory it took about a month, now is a great time to do it with all the weddings coming up.

    Was I Do Gowns.

She found hers within 2 weeks of looking, flew to Sydney to pick it up, and then re sold it for only $200 less, took about 4 weeks to sell.
