    Question Orange coating on tongue

My 5 month old DS is fully breastfed but for the past few days has had an orange coating on his tongue. I checked my milk & it is not orange!

He has been a bit grizzly but generally happy & no symptoms of illness.

Does anyone know what this is?

I would be going to get it checked out at the Dr's. Anything unusual is worth having it looked at.

You should be able to see your Dr easily with a 5 month old, if not just take him there and wait.

We had an appt with the CHN & she said it was a milk coating (he still possets a LOT). My milk apparantly has a high fat content (not sure how she knows that) and it coats the tongue when he throws up.

He is well in every way & no sign of thrush so I am going to see how it goes. I will try cleaning his tongue with a flannel and see if it clears.
