We bought this place over a year ago, and I have just discovered if I put our address in google it brings up the realestate dot com sold page, and the real estate agent's sold page, both showing all the pictures of the house.
Not a big fan of that really!
I contacted the old agent and he has said there is nothing they can go as google has it in history and it will always be there. He said they are not 'live' listings but logged histories or something (can you tell I know very little about it all!) Now to me, surely at least his website creator could delete the page on his website? Then it wouldn't turn up would it? Not sure about the main realestate dot com website, but just wanted to ask if anyone has any advice? Is this true? I hate the thought that anyone could just look through our house by googling our address. TIA
yep, realestate. com remove all there old listings, but other sites like home hound and heaps of others do not remove listings so they circulate the net, i was looking for a rental, found a great one but when i rang the agent about it, it had been off the market for a year and a half!
Well I lied, our house in Townsville is back on the market.....and for a lot less than what we sold it at 3 years ago. Looks like we sold it at the right time!
But yes all original listing are gone and we advertised on the website you mentioned.
The agent needs to remove it if it's under the sold page of re .com our new house is there from when it sold previously, it's interesting seeing what it looked like we wouldn't have bought it.
