question about sperm and ovulation hope not TMI!!

This may sound crazy but i just wondered if sperm has the same texture to ovulation mucus?Im having a bit of trouble because im not sure when im ovulating anymore and so we are just DTD everyday around mid cycle, problem is and heres the TMI bit...theres so much goo coming out i dont know if its Dh sperm or my mucus, this morning some came out from last night but it was alot and some was very egg white like which i thought could be a mixture of DH sperm and my mucus??Sounds gross but ive seen it come out before but never played with it to see if its similar texture to my fertile period mucus.I know what mine looks like and thats what it looked like so im confused does anyone know?thanks!!

EWCM and semen are very similar. The idea is that sperm can swim easily through it, so if there is 'liquid' of the same consistency all the way from the vagina to the fallopian tubes there is more chance of the sperm making it to the egg.

i can only explain this by giving TMI..

CM is alot more...damn i cant think of the world...solider, but not. Semen is more liquid, not as sticky... thats the best i can explain it...sorry, im not ver clear.

I know what you mean Teirare... semen doesn't stretch quite as much if you play with it between your fingers.
They look very similar though, so if you didn't play with it much it could be either.

Maybe DTD every second day. Thats what my Gyno says, that way you can monitor your CM better. I think it's still as affective because once the egg comes out i think you still have up to 48 hours to fertilise ( don't quote me on that!)

    Good luck!
