Dog vomiting greenish/yellow liquid, Does anyone know what this could be?

    Hi Everyone,

As the title states one of our dogs, we have 2 little chi X's, has been vomiting up greenish/yellow liquidy substance. We don't know which one is doing it as it's there in the morning, the last few mornings and we haven't seen who is doing it.
We have a courtyard, no grass, so it's not from eating grass. Could it be something we are feeding them?

Is it only 1st thing in the morning? How often do you feed them?

I've got a 12mth old papillon and he brings up bile first thing in the morning if he doesn't eat his dinner - it's because his stomach is too empty - so we make sure we feed him twice a day.

Our dog used to vomit in the morning if she was hungry. Now we give her breakfast and she doesn't.

    Sounds like bile to me.

Yes it's only there in the morning, not throughout the day.
We feed them at night their meat and veg and they have a big bowl of dry food always down, which they nibble from throughout the day. I don't see whoever it is doing it, i think it's happening overnight or early morning. Maybe I should try giving them meat morning and night. Could they be eating something that is making them sick, they don't vomit up their food though, it does look like bile! Maybe one of the dogs is eating the bulk of dinner and someone is not getting enough. But they still always have dry food they can eat.

Check your garden for any kind of poisons, our dog ate rat poison last year and his vomit was green after that. Don't want to alarm you, but best to be on the safe side!
