7 weeks ago, I started seeing a naturopath/nutritionist to work on my energy levels. I have an extremely low metabolism, so I started working on eating the right foods at the right time for me. I joined a gym and started going 4 times a week.
Two weeks after I joined, I got a sinus infection. I was sick for around 4 days and 2 were in bed. It kept me away from the gym for a week.
Then I got back on the wagon, worked hard and was very extremely careful about my diet, I ate 90% wholefoods, no carbs after 4pm. No dairy. I kept at the gym and went 5 times a week and started gaining energy. I am on different supplements due to my body not absorbing minerals I am eating atm, and I kept up with that.
I was going to Melbourne for work, so while I was there, I took extra Vit C and Zinc to avoid getting sick because I knew that working hard could trigger something with working with the public. Then 2 days after my flight home, WHAMMO. I was hit with the flu. 3 days in bed and then I woke up with intense ear pain. I went to a doctor who said "ear infections and infection in glands in the back of the throat" so on antibiotics. That was Thursday. Friday mid-morning my left ear drum ruptured. It was a relief from the pain as it drained heaps and the pressure was relieved. It healed together Sunday, and since then I've been in so much pain. I'm still on antibiotics, I've been doing saline rinses in my sinus' to try to keep them clear. I've been doing the Hopi candles in my ear to relieve pain and they work wonders but it gets expensive to do them daily.
Tonight my right ear drum is throbbing in pain....
Why do I keep getting sick? Why when I'm starting to get myself on track, am I getting not just a cold or a mild virus, but I'm laid out for days? ARRRGGGHHH
I have been thinking about you this week, hoping you are on the mend.
Perhaps it's your body getting rid of all the bugs as it gets healthier?...nah really got no idea, but all the positive healing vibes I can muster girlfriend.
