ANTS! How do I make them go away? :(

Ew, ew, ew ew ew! There I was, happily chomping away on some biscuits I bought yesterday, when I see an ant on my arm. I flicked it away, kept munching... then I saw another one Quickly turned the lights on, and there were a few in the bag

I threw the bag away, and went to investigate the bag we brought them home in. It was FULL OF ANTS! Quickly emptied it, chucked the bag in the big bin out the front, and sifted through what had been in there. My purse, fine, no ants. The facepaints from McHappy Day, fine. Brushes, alright Laptop charger - one ant, flicked away, now fine. My laptop... FULL. OF. ANTS. I batted as many as I could away (I was still outside) but they kept streaming out into the light. Yuck, yuck! I tried vacuuming them up, which got quite a few, but they're still around and I'm out of ideas I need help getting these disgusting insects out of my little baby lappie How do I get rid of the things without destroying it?

maybe you could sit it somewere and put it near it, close enough for them to get to, and kill them in there path? might take a bit tho?

Thanks, I'll use some of those tactics if/when I find a trail, but right now I just want them off my computer

    heheeh.

When's the last time you cleaned all the crumbs out from your lappy keyboard? I'd be tempted to do that first up.

It really shouldn't have any because I haven't used it often til recently - and that's usually on the couch, no food near it. I reckon it was the open bag of biscuits and being placed near the front door that attracted the damn things (thanks heaps, Scott ) (yes, I'm blaming him, because it's all his fault )

Right now it's sitting in the garage, with a new deep scratch on it from the stupid vacuum. I'm in such a grumpy mood about it, stomping around the house swearing under my breath. I reckon I'll scare the things away

i find Ant Rid doesn't work and neither does the old trick of putting talcum powder in a dish for them

sorry no good advice to offer, but hope for your sanity they have ALL gone by now

(btw Teni i love your new quote )
