    I'm having body defacing withdrawals ^^;

    So I'm having tattoo withdrawals from all this breastfeeding business and was pondering a flesh tunnel.... so, does anyone know where I can get a good quality tapered stretcher from online (where I live they have 0 choices) and preferably a 12 guage to start with cos I'm a big fat wuss XD
    Are the plastic ones on Ebay any good?

    Ex piercing addit here

    I've never bought online only ever from a piercer I've known and trusted but the thought of buying something like that off ebay really creeps me out.

    Hopefully someone else can help out with some well trusted sites.

    I use to have 7 piercings and now all I have are my lobes...oh how I miss my metal!

    Please go to a professional piercer to have your tunnels started!

    It seems simple enough, but even though mine were done professionally and very slowly, they still do some really weird-ass stuff!

    I am usually a very quick healer (I have 22 piercings and 2 retired...never rejected one yet!) but for some reason, my stretched lobes take longer.

    My right lobe for example has started stretching itself! My piercer said I have really stretching ear lobes and that it's feaky...it just streches itself and goes up about 4mm each time...the current plug keeps falling out and now we're having trouble trying to keep jewellery in it, becuase it stretches all by itself.

    So my main point is going pro even just to get the low-down on the entire process so they can teach you how to do it properly and slowly at home.

    A lot of people end up wearing tapers for WAY too long...teens especially (who think it's cool)...the point of them is to be put in to very quickly force the ear up one size (only ONE size or you'll get a nasty blow out) then put a tunnel in straight away and let it heal for a month or two months before going up another size. It's a very slow process. Please never use a plastic or rubber taper!

    I always go pro to go up a size becuase their hands move faster than mine ever could...cuts down on blood and pain.

    If you want to increase the size of your lobes in a hurry you can get them punched, which I did when first starting out. I went from normal lobes to 4mm, so very small still. There is a lot of argument about whether punching should be offered or not...so have a good read up before making your decision.

    I love my lobes and you'll love yours too! But if we go too fast with stretching them, they won't look or feel good at all.

    I don't think I can post links on here...

    Google BME Encyclopedia, and there you can search for explanations to any body modification you care to know about! :-)

    LOL. Usually more precise info than Wikipedia :-P

    With the bonus of some gross photos of things that happen when piercings are poorly done or not looked after.

    ah... well you've made it seem harder than it seams XDD

    Ah, I didn't realise you could get it done "professionally". I know a girl who did her own by threading thru sleepers... start with one, then put another thru, leave it for a week or so then another and then she threaded thru a belly button ring and so on... not sure how she ended up going.
    Also i have my ears pearced normally now, however it took me three shots to do it as my body kept rejecting them. *strokes chin* Here I was thinking it was just this simple processes of stretching it all out really slowly, minus the gore! ^^;

    Be careful that it's not a spontaneous thing with stretching because I knew a dude that looked like he had a dog's a**ehole in his earlobe. He had it done all legit, just decided he didn't like it 10 years later lol

    That is what piercers refer to as the Cat's Ass look.

    It CAN be avoided...it just takes a LOT of work. It used to happen a lot more often than it does now, becuase mod techniques and technology is evolving a lot faster now than it used to. Remember when we all had our ears pierced by guns?

    Some people's bodies just aren't made for mods...stretching especially. If you start small and have problems, best not to keep going.

    But Ja, as CrazyLady said, make it something you've thought through very carefully. Piercing and body modifications of any type should not be spontaneous. I consider my piercings the same way someone would consider a tattoo. A bit anal, yes, but the health and healing of my body matters to me and I want to know all the risks and possibilites before I get something done, rather than after.

    Depending on the size you want you can skip all the "stretching" and have it done with a dermal punch, but you kind of have to be sure about size because it isn't recommended to stretch past that because of scar tissue.
