    Pest Control Treatments

Well with the wamer weather coming on, I think every spider in WA has migrated to our house, and a few rather big and scary looking earwigs hitched a ride too I'm kinda freaking out, and thought I might look into a professional pest control treatment.

Having never needed one before, are they actually worthwhile? Or do the do it yourself barrier sprays etc from Bunnings do just as good a job? (I'm doubting it but quotes of $300+ for the treatment cause me to ask!)

Any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated

We used to get it done yearly in our old house. We had farmland behind us, so they all thought our place was the cool place to hang out. The guy would come in and do it in the morning and by the time I got home from work, we would have dead spiders all through the house One year we had to get the guy back though because next to no spiders died. We think he just did a bad job though. So on the whole I would recommend getting it done. However, I haven't tried DIY ones.

We get our place done yearly. The guy we use has a guarantee and will come back and respray if you see pests still alive during the year. We got him back once as there were still a few spiders around, but since then no worries! Personally, I think it is worth the money considering we don't have to buy any ****roach baits, insect sprays or traps of any kind.
