    Upset tummy.?

Yesterday DS had lots of good sleeps today he has been very unsettled. He has only slept 30-40 min at a time and tonight is very unsettled. I can hear and feel his tummy rumbling. And every now and then he yells like we've never heard befor and only wants to be carried.

All I can think is that now he is sucking his hads maybe he sucked them after the dog liked them and I didn't see or after I fanged a pooie nappy

His poo was huge today but he usually goes several times a day anyway. It may have been a little more runny. The crying comes in waves.
Or could it have been something I have eaten?

Lou - it is more than likely to be just one of those days / nights. As they develop, they become more aware of their own bodily functions and sensations and it is often distressing for them. Huge changes are happening and it takes them a while to adjust. There is a wonder week stormy period due around the 11-12 week mark which can bring increased crying that may settle with just extra cuddling. Some of the other things that may change as they go through this developmental leap is demanding more attention, shy with strangers, clingy, decreased appetite or longer feeds, poor sleep, increased sucking, listless / less lively than usual. If you are worried or he looks sick, please get him checked. Otherwise it is a normal developmental stage that will pass. Just means everyone is unsettled while they grow!!

    ditto for michelle's comments.

also, could he be teething super early? crying and sucking hands and changes in poo patterns (frequency and runniness) can all be symptoms.

and while it would be very early, it goes happen - some babies are even born with teeth!!

thinking and for you and your little boy that he'll be ok soon!
