Embryo Transfer

Hi Ladies

Had my 2 embryos transferred yesterday at day 5 - they reached blastocyst so am happy with that, yay to date! Questions, can you feel any symptoms like the day after transfer? I have a funny taste in my mouth (have yet to take pregnyl), will take when I get home, so it cant be any drugs.

My question is how soon did you feel symptoms, if any?

I think it would generally take a few days for them to settle in.

Best wishes for success with your transfer, 2 blastocysts is great!

With my 1st IVF (BFP), I got slight period-like cramps about 4 days after transfer (mine was a day 3 transfer), then stronger cramps toward the end of cycle. I don't remember having any other symptoms but everyone is different!

With my 2 chemical pregnancies I also got slight cramping/ovulation-like flickers about 3 or 4 days after transfer, along with very slight spotting. So I reckon that was implantation - just in that case the embryos werent viable.

Hey, from memory I was feeling "symptoms" straight away but that was the side effects of the crinone, so it was really confusing and a bit of a mind **** to be honest.

I did suspect that I was pregnant 1 week and 1 day after embryo transfer (I had 1 blastocyst transferred) though and it turns out I was - I felt really nauseous and could smell cigarette smoke from a car that was in front of me when I was driving. LOL
