As in the precooked chicken roll that you slice to put on sandwiches and crackers. Like polony I guess. My DD LOVES the stuff on crackers, but as I was slicing it today I just got thinking, what is this stuff really made up of!? I am hopeless at understanding ingredients on the packet, so i looked online and couldnt find much. Does anyone know? Is it harmless or really not the best stuff to be feeding to a toddler?
CONTAINS GLUTEN (WHEAT), SOY AND SULPHITES AS INDICATED IN BOLD
CHICKEN MINIMUM 66%, WATER, WHEAT STARCH, SOY PROTEIN, SALT, MINERAL SALT (451), SUCROSE, VEGETABLE POWDER, DEXTROSE (WHEAT), DRIED GLUCOSE SYRUP, SPICE EXTRACTS, FLAVOUR, FLAVOUR ENHANCER (635), PRESERVATIVE (SULPHITE 223).
ALTHOUGH GREAT CARE HAS BEEN TAKEB TO REMOVE BONES FROM THIS PRODUCT, SOME MAY REMAIN.
Personally I can't stand that kind of stuff, if I want cold meats for sandwiches I buy a BBQ chook or a smoked whole chicken breast and leg ham with the bone in and carve it myself.
