Can someone please explain to me WHY THE HELL lease opens are always on a freaking weekday in the middle of the day, and agents wont make private viewings when there are open inspections available.
I am so over it, it is a load of crap - Yeah us hard working families with children don't deserve to have a house to live in or even the chance to look at them.
How many working families are actually able to take work off at the last minute to go and see houses? Just makes me super cranky. Got a call at 4pm this afternoon for an 11am inspection!
And reading this has jogged my memory about a house around the corner (for sale) having an OFI at 1pm on a weekday afternoon last week. I thought it was weirdness TBH.
It's the stupidest thing ever and seems to have always been that way. I asked a lease manager why they excluded all the WORKING people from inspections but she just shrugged. I'm sure the actual reason is they don't want to work past 5pm.
Glad nurses don't think that way...
YES! OMG! We are house hunting and it's fricken nightmare, you say "oh sorry, I'm actually working at that time, is a Saturday inspection available?" and they treat you like you are the most inconveniant and time-consuming b****! Um, excuse me! At least I'm working? So I can pay THE RENT! Work with me here! No I cannot get there in my lunch break, and no I don't want to take an hour off work because I *KNOW* you work on a Saturday.
I had to add to this thread. I just found an agent that tops the cake! Their rental section "isn't open for enquiries on the weekend, please call back in business hours" .... But I work in business hours....... Honestly, how do they expect decent tenants when they shut off a whole section of the market? ARGH THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!
