I can't remember with DD1 but she had it before DD2 came along so younger than 15mths, i put it under the fitted sheet in her cot.
DD2 has had one since she was out of the bassinet as she seems to sleep better a little raised, same thing though it's under the fitted sheet.

Pip started with a pillow after about 18 months, we were finding that he'd be in our bed and using our pillows, and he'd be using his toys as a pillow in his own bed.

I was wondering the same thing!

I've always rolled a towel and put it under the head of the bassinette, but I am yet to give the kids a pillow (DD is almost 3 and DS is 16mths) as I'm not sure when I should either!

DD1 got a flat pillow when she moved into her toddler bed at 2. This went to DD2 at about 18m as DD1 wanted a bigger one and DD2 was rolling all over the cot at night - I found she stays put a lot better with a pillow there.

I think Pie might have taken this decision out of our hands, she has started using ours when she's in our bed & does seem to settle better with one. I was going to wait a bit, till she was closer to two-ish but now I'm thinking about looking for a small flat one for her own

we got one of the kid/baby flat ones for DS last week - it said just not for under 12mths. originally we'd thought around 2, but decided to give it a try as part of an effort to get DS to realise that his bed is HIS & try & wean him off sleeping with me. he seems to like it so far
