    Cubby/gym for DD?

Help! I can't decided what to do!! I've fallen in love with the Little Tikes Picnic n Playhouse and really want to get it for DD but it's pretty pricey and I'm not sure if I can justify spending so much on it.

I love that it's a cubby and climbing gym in one, that we could put it under the patio if it's raining, that it has several configurations and that we can get 20% off it today with my mums staff discount card. But I'm worried that I'm spoiling DD and going overboard.

Who has a cubby/outdoor gym for their toddler? Do they use it a lot? Would we be wasting our money?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

i was going to start a similar thread! DS seems to loves cubby houses & i'd love to get a little tikes one but they are exxy. but if they use it for a few years then it could be worth it. hopefully someone has some feedback soon!

Aren't they gorgeous! So expensive though but I *think* they are worth it. DD had a play in a few different Little Tikes ones at a big toy shop and she loved them. We were impressed with how sturdy and cute they are too. My dad was with us and he said they'd be good in all weather conditions too - no maintenance.

I think I'm convincing myself, lol

i'd love to be able to get a proper wooden one, but they are way out of budget! i had a cubby house when i was younger & i reckon i used it till i was about 9 or 10? too long ago to remember now

i checked thew little tikes direct site & they're a bit cheaper than normal retail

We are a bit different in that I have an older DD and my DS is an accomplished climber and adventurer.
We have a wooden climbing gym with cubby house on top and a slide and sandpit underneath. The reason we got that one was because DD is an amazon child and would have grown way too tall for the little plastic ones way too quickly.
I wouldn't say they play with it everyday but it is often. I paid about 800ish which was nearly half price.

i think if you really have your heart set on that one and you can afford it, then go for it!
the little tikes stuff is usually very kid friendly and great quality. i'm sure your dd will get lots of use out of it, and because they last so well you could always pass it on to relatives or friends in a few years or even resell it on ebay!

Thanks girls! We bought it! It's so cute and DD loves it already! It's a bit smaller than I expected but actually better than I expected too! She's in love with the little door and has climbed all over it and already gone head-first down the slide - lol. I can see it's going to be a winner.

DH was a bit suss about spending so much but now he's talking about planting a vegie patch around it, building a carport for her Cozy Coupe and building her a letterbox. PMSL!!!

Thanks Ginger! I had a wine in her house (with my knees in my ears!) the other night while she had a water. I think we might move in there together.
