Do you like this baby girl name?

So We just found out we are having a lil girl! DH and I both Love "E" names for some reason.

The other day I thought of the name "Emaya" (Pronounced as it's spelt "Em-may-a") What do you think? Originally I wanted the middle names as Anne-Adelle (Family middle names) but I'm not certain now that "Emaya Anne-Adelle" all goes together?

We had Emmerson picked out for a boy and are thinking of using it for the girl but changing the spelling to "Emmersyn" (though I still like the original spelling DH doesnt for a girl). I still like Emmersyn but I think Emaya is leading at the moment.

What do you think? Any other names that start with E you can think of?

I prefer Emmerson spelt the original way. I think Emaya could get confusing.

I like it!!! It's very pretty! And I think it goes fine with Anne-Adelle, has a nice flow!
Emmersyn is a nice spelling but I'm with you on liking the original spelling better...

Emelie is another pretty one, can't think of any others right now! pg brain... lol

    I prefer Emmersyn.

Erin may work well with the middle name.

Sometimes a name can sound not right, then you go with it and think it's perfect and can never think of your baby with any other name

Good luck, congratulations on having a baby girl.

I was preferring Emmerson (spelt the original way) but I really want to keep that for if we have a boy next time.

I know what you mean Heather - thats kinda how I feel about the boy name, I couldnt imagine naming a boy any other name...but with the girl names DH and I have had troubles so far finding a name that we both absolutely love and go "yes thats it" There are ssoo many girls around us that all already have the names that we like

Rowellen - I knew you'd have some good E Names!

I'm glad that some others like it (other than me) I told my mum the name and it was the first name she actually said "Oh thats nice" lol she hasnt liked any we've mentioned to date.

I have more They were just my favourites lol!

If it were me, I wouldn't be telling my mum anything about the name. With DS I told my mum a few names from my list but they were ones we hadn't chosen. We had his name picked out at the 20 week scan and once DH has made up his mind, there's no changing it! That way, if she doesn't like it, then she just has to lump it because once cupcake is born, then her name is her name and she can't say anything IYKWIM.

Yeah I have thought of that, when people have asked us in RL I've been really hesitant to say the name because they will tell you if they dont like it, whereas once u name the child that, they dont say anything.

Though with my new found assertiveness if she says things about the names now I've shut her down on them! lol

I really like Emaya (we had Amaya on our list with DD1 and 2) and i think it goes well with the middle names you have chosen.

Also i did't tell people our possible names unless asked and then all they did was "really?" "yuck" "you can't name the baby that, i went to school with someone with that name and they were a b*tch" etc
i just told them "Lucky its not your baby then huh!?" usually shut them up

Good luck finding that one perfect name but I really do like "Emaya Anne-Adelle"

Thanks Jessey I think i would find it hard to keep the baby's name a secret once we've decided until after she is Born....I'm terrible at keeping secrets!

I actually originally had the name down as Amaya too! But DH loves his "E's" I really dont know why? and changed it! lol

I love the name Emersyn, or it could be spelt Emmersyn with the double 'm'. Or if you want to keep Emmerson for a boy and you want all your kids to have 'E' names:

    Emerald
    Eden
    Elena
    Elanor
    Ella
    Eloise
    Emaline / Emalyn
    Elara
    Eleni (ee-lay-nee)
    Elisha
    Elisa
    Ellamae (or Ella-Mae)
    Erin
    Evangeline
    Evelina / Evelyn

Sorry if i've doubled up with some other suggestions .

    Good luck picking!

I am loving the letters 'a' and 'c' this time around - no idea why - I have no names picked yet! So I understand how you can like a letter !

We've always kept the name a secret, except I never could from my Mum , you do whatever you want to do hun .

Go with whatever name you two like regardless of other opinions, but it might sound a bit odd if you have two children with such similar names. So I'd say just use the one you love the most this time around. Personally, I'd stick with the original spelling of Emmerson to avoid having to spell out a long name every time someone is writing it down.
