Egypt - have always been interested in the history and think it would be a fascinating place to visit.

Anywhere with Gothic architecture, castles or ghosts

For me i think it's all about the history, somewhere i coudl spend my days walking around and discovering new things.

I've been to quite a few places, but my favourite is definitely New York City. I was always enthralled by it seeing it on telly and in movies, and going there didn't disappoint. It is such an exciting city, so much to see and do. All the hustle and bustle, and it's just so beautiful. We went in Autumn, and I cannot wait to go back in Spring one day.

Other places I've been in order of preference are: Thailand, Paris, Hawaii and Vegas.

Hth, and good luck picking a destination

will you be taking the kids? I think that would make a big difference where.

I think Thailand (phuket and the little islands) are good for kids, so is Hawaii. DD loved it there.

We love Canada but I would love to do the big train trip with the glass roof.

We did Melbourne to Daintree a few years ago and loved being able to take our time, would do it again.

DD2 loves Europe and would live in some of the cities if she could

Easy. Switzerland. It's in the heart of Europe and seems to have the best of all the European cultures i love: France, Italy, Germany, etc. It's nice and cool too. I speak a little French so that might help. Biggest down-side is that it's an expensive destination.

India is a great place to immerse yourself in a completely different culture. We'll definitely go again when DS is a bit older.
I'd love to go to Morrocco, Egypt, South America and Prague one day.

My dream trip is to see the polar bears in the wild - in Canada or Norway. However, the tours are something like $15K pp without airfares etc, so it will remain a dream for a while.

Otherwise, my favorite is Italy. I could live there.

i'm not even sure where i'd like to go next - although i would love to go to sweden, egypt, mexico & cuba (maybe not with a little one? dunno). then there are places like NZ, hong kong or the UK where i've been before but would like to visit friends.

it's been 3 years since i last went overseas...i know that isn't very long, but i have the itchiest of feet at the moment. i'm finding it very hard to control myself. i am so compelled to travel

My favourite city ever is Paris. One day I'm going to buy myself a little apartment on the Île Saint-Louis or in Le Marais.
Venice is a total tourist trap but it's one of those places that everyone should visit.
Vietnam is amazing. It has spectacular landscapes, amazing food and a fascinating culture. It's also pretty affordable.

The top of my to-do list at the moment is Japan. Canada is also high up there.
