    toilet training

My son is 2years 2 months, and still have no interest in wanting to sit on the toilet. To be honest, he's scared of it!!

We've had the sit on potties (3 different types), ring on top of the toilet, lid under the normal toilet lid and he refuses to sit on it as if something is going to bite him. I don't know what to do, how are we meant to try and start if he doesn't even want to sit on it

Do you let him watch you on the toilet?

i wouldn't stress too much at the moment, boys take a lot longer than girls, and he's still pretty young. but as maruschke said, let him watch you on the toilet etc so that it normalises it for him. good luck xo

We plan on child-proofing the laundry so he can go in there, and making the toilet more "appealing" as nothing has worked yet.

I just don't understand as when he was 12 months old he went consistantly for around 12 weeks. but then just refused to any more...

My DD was the same about 9-10 months - would go consistently when placed on the potty. Of course it all went to hell once she discovered running around! We are working on TT now, there is a general chatter thread here if you want to commiserate or share tips with others. GL.
