    IKEA customised wardrobes anyone?

I am looking at getting some, so much fun using the planner thingy! Anyone got any experience with these, are they good, is the finish good, quality, etc?

We have an Ikea house JK but we did Reno and nearly all our stuff is from there! We have a variety of wardrobes, in 4 different rooms with sliding and fixed doors, we have lots of different insides like baskets, plastic tubs, drawers, jewelry holder etc and love it all. Great quality, versatile, you can make it fit what you need and much cheaper than getting them custom made.

Thanks, so can I ask a couple of things?
Were they easy to put together? How large are the flat packs, do you need a ute to collect them?

Hey chick sorry I missed this! Yep the flat packs are pretty big so u definitely need a ute... We have high ceilings and got the 210 cm ones. Putting them together is fairly simple, DH is a chippy though but they are just square and not too tricky he said! Can link you up with some pics a bit later on tonight if you like.

HERE is a link to my FB album just before we moved in! The silver/window type doors are sliding, the rest are all hinged and vary from 250cms wide to 100cms wide in DD's room! Oh and there a bunch of other bits and bobs in there of the kitchen which is Ikea as well as other stuff!!!

Thanks chicks, Ausgirl DH built them in as much as he could into the existing wall cavities, but the one in DD's room is freestanding as is the linen closet one with teh white doors. Best bit is you can customise your inners so I have a jewellery drawer, basket for shoes and drawers in mine, as well as baskets up high for seasonal clothes. Awesome!

Joeve - Pretty sure there was no fibro. Just your standard timber weatherboard - it cost alot (100k +) to reno but we literally gutted it to the point of a shell and no plaster and we saved probably close to 60k on building costs because DH did it all.
