How much notice for parent teacher interviews?

DS's report card is due this week and next week is the last week of term. So far I haven't had any kind of communication about a parent-teacher interview. Is it normal to leave it so late or do you think that maybe I have missed the letter?
Should I just email his teachers or does that make me the pushy parent?

Does he usually have P/T interviews at the end of the year?

DS1's school doesn't have P/T interviews at the end of year. Only halfway through the year and we now book a time online via pto online.
We will get the reports this week and then school finishes next week. If I have any concerns I will approach the teacher direct.
When we got his mid year report, it came with a password to go onlilne an book an interview, perhaps that is what they will do if they have end of year interviews?

Our school usually have them part way through term 1 and then again after their mid year reports are sent out. We don't have them at the end of the year.

You can always request a meeting with their teacher at any time.

Our school doesn't do them at the end of year unless requested by parents....

The school I teach at also don't do end of year pt interviews. Maybe call and find out?

Not usually, unless you or they have a particular concern, then it would be a chat rather than your usual parent teacher interview.

We never had them end of year either (back in the day )...But you could always ask for one.

We only have two. One at the beginning of the year and one in the middle.

It's likely that they won't actually book in formal interviews. None of the schools I have worked in ever have. Parent teacher interviews after half yearly reports go out, and that's about it. The teachers are meant to be available for a number (that I can't remember) of days after reports are issued so if you have concerns you should be able to contact the school then rather than wait until next year.
