    Washing mosquito net. How?

A million mozzie bites later I have finally dug out DS's mosquito net, only to find it is COVERED in dust.

How can I quickly but effectively wash it so it's at least usable if not nice and white?

I don't think it can go in the washing machine as it's got the big ring in the top, I can't see any way of removing it.

    TIA

Can you hang it outside in the sun on a windy day? Although lately no chance of that happening as we seem to have sooo much damn rain!!!!

How about in the washing machine, cold wash in one of those mesh bags?? That will keep it from snagging on the washing machine at least? I would do that if it was me. You can only try and if it's a cold wash it won't affect the plastic ring.

hang it on the washing line and hose it down? or try and wipe it down with a bucket of soapy water and a sponge, then rinse?

Soak it in the laundry trough then hang it outside, it'll dry in no time.
