    When does your milk go?

Background: We had only been feeding once a day for about 4 months, and then only twice or three times a day max since this time last year.
We had our feed 3 weeks ago, and I STILL have milk. Not engorgement, or pain or anything like that, but I could easily express right now since if if pinch my nipple (not *pinch* pinch but just that tweaking grab) milk will squirt out at every possible point.

When will this settle down? I'm itching for some new bras, I want my special post-weaning bra Shel's been promising me. I haven't bought bras in a year, which is bad since I had shrinked something shocking! But I want a special, expensive, pretty, well-fitting underwire bra! I want it all! LOL!

Leasha, it usually it teaks at least 8 weeks, but can be longer. I'd recommend not pinching your nipple as this stimulation will make it take longer. I can well understand your excitement - buying my first bras post bfing was a great feeling!!

Thanks MR! For some reason I thought it was much shorter, 4 weeks max. Wishful thinking probably. Looks like new year, new bra is going to be my motto hahaha
LOL I can say todays pinch wasn't intentional hahahaha

(PS I giggled at your sig... Fertility Undies... my mind wandered and I wondered how undies could help your fertility! I get it now, mens undies, but still, for a moment I thought they were spectacular fertility-boosting undies for woman!)

Um this may be a little strange but I could still get milk out (I'm talking SQUIRTING out) NINE years after weaning.... Yep.. Strange...

You probably don't want to hear this, but six months after weaning I could still get a little something out, but it looked more like colostrum. FWIW I went back to normal bras while still bfing and I had no issues. And I was a frequent mastitis sufferer for about 12 mths. You get to sense when things are not going to be bothered by the underwire.

Thanks Jennifer I've been wearing underwire for a year now, but my size is changing so much that they don't really fit well, and I want a nice underwire bra that fits!
