This has happened twice now, yesterday and the day before. In the afternoon, both started in the car when going to pick up DH from work. I got really uncomfortable pain in my back in between my shoulders, all across my shoulders, in my chest, and up my throat. I can't describe what it felt like really. But yesterday it freaked me out a bit because it went on for a while and then I had the though '**** I hope I'm not having a heart attack or something' lol, but I'm still alive today.
And now atm I have just got some burning pain in my chest so I guess the heartburn has started and then I thought well maybe that's what it was yesterday then. It wasn't so much burning though. So just wondering if anyone has had the same thing?? And if it's heartburn. I had heartburn when pg with DD too but not that bad, just the burning in the chest and throat after meals.
Interestingly I often get the same weird back pain in my shoulders thing if I have alcohol. Haven't had alcohol in like 3 years, lol, but back then it would be when drinking mixed drinks like with soft drink so maybe that was giving me heartburn and I didn't know what it was, it was really weird and I always wondered wth it was about!! But haven't thought about it for a while coz I don't drink now bc of pg and BF!

Yep. Every time I belch, I get severe upper back pain. I hate it. It is so, so painful. Sitting upright helps, and "breathing" through it instead of actually belching.
If it's any consolation, then take mylanta etc and know that pretty much within 5 minutes of delivery, the heartburn will be gone.
It probably lasted longer yesterday because I layed down, and DH rubbed my back! Lying down not such a good plan!! lol. But I thought it was a muscle thing or something DH is coming home soon and has been instructed to stop at the chemist!
I didn't get heartburn but really bad indigestion. It felt like pressure across my back between shoulders and chest. Is this the pain you felt? I found the only way I could stop it was eat VERY SLOWLY (I mean 20 minutes for a bread and butter plate sized meal) and just have say 5-6 very small meals a day compared to 3-4 larger ones.
I had heartburn throughout the entire pregnancy it was really painful by the 3rd tri and I found it actually helped to burp. I liked fizzy drinks for that reason and had lots of those effervescent drink powder drinks thingos that you can get next the quick eze and stuff in the supermarket.
