My daughter attends a private school. She is in year 4. Her current school is 5 minutes from our home but I have had a feeling that we are missing out on a great deal.
I am a third year education student and did my prac in a state school. I was very happy with the school. They had more things then my daughter did. NOT happy when I am paying over $3000 a year.
So here is the thing... Thinking about Glasshouse mountain christian college. 25 minutes away. Anyone know anything about it?
I am so confused and worried I am going to make the wrong decision.
Any thoughts on schools in the area would be fabulous.
One of my neices goes there She's been going for a year or two now, and has just turned 13.
She changed from the local public school to the private school because she was really behind and struggling with no teacher support, and the school were draggint their heels about arranging support and assessment for her, and she is now improving after GCCC picked up on her dyslexia and arranged for specialist intervention and support. I can really only praise them from my view looking in to see how my neice is going. Feel free to PM me any questions and I can ask my SIL and neice
Thanks for your reply Indadhanu. Much appreciated. I think I am going to let dd do one more term at her current school and then change if I still have that gut feeling. I am just worried that too much change with the baby coming in March may not be the best way to start off the new year. I have heard great things about GCCC and good to hear your niece is doing so well.
I think in January, I will be doing a tour to see. I was worried about the 25 minute distance but not so worried after putting everything in perspective. If I need to after the tour, I may contact you. Thanks for that. xx
