where is a good holiday place to spend Christmas ?
hi everyone,
without going into too much detail about our Christmas just gone, next year i will be wanting to go away and do our own thing.........does anyone have any suggestions on where would be somewhere good to go ? so it could be a resort somewhere that does a good christmas lunch or just a great holiday you have had thats good for kids 5 and 3 (what they will be next Christmas).
Fiji. It's a 3-4 hour flight from Sydney. Most resorts on the coral coast have a deal where kids stay eat and play for free (1 child per adult) as well as do deals where adults can have there accommodation meals and drinks included - naviti, hideaway and outrigger resorts are 3 that I have been to. They all have kids club to.
My advice tho search for flights that leave Sydney (or ur closest airport) early in morning so as to get a good first day in and ones that leave ur holiday place late in the night/afternoon so ur not leaving the resorts in the early hours of the morning (eg 3am)
- don't tell kids that ur going on a plane, particularly if they stress easy. My parents never told us where we were going or how we were getting there. They day before it was 'going on holidays tomorrow, pack swimmers and summer gear'
Minniemouse: I say a Vic trip is in order
We are going to go camping at Wilsons Prom, great place for families, the river is perfect for little ones, lots of pretty beaches & walks and new amenities. Although our weather can be very unpredictable so you just never know with camping.
I think Cairns would be beautiful!
babyluv: thanks, we are planning another trip to melbourne this year because we want to go to the King Tut Exhibit at the melbourne museum so you have given me some other things to think about doing while we are there :-)
Maybe you could look at doing a Home Exchange and having a white christmas in the USA, Canada or UK?
Just thought of it because the movie "the Holiday" was on tv last night
