No Period, BFN ~ WTF is going on with my body?

Currently I am on day 36 of my cycle and counting, there has been NO sign of AF and to make matters worse I have had 4 BFN pregnancy tests. This was my 3rd cycle since AF started visiting me again.

DH and I only DTD twice this last month (which is actually a record for us ) so I really didn't think I was UTD anyway because our timing was way out, I had some O type cramping around days 14 - 17 so I thought yep for sure it will be a 28-31 day cycle.

I have had all the pre period type stuff, pimples, cramps, backache and tenderish boobs.

I also have had a few of the pregnancy things I get too, like darkening of the bottom of the sticky outy bit of the nipple, funny taste in my mouth and just general nausia BUT 4 tests have been BFN and IF I was pregnant, going by when we DTD when I suspected I O'd we most definately should have had a BFP by now.

DD only feeds 4 times now in a 24 hour period, sometimes less if she is out with daddy coz she can fall asleep in the car without boob but at home will cry through her nap times if she doesn't get boob.

Has AF disappeared again now that we have a regular 4 feeds in 24hrs again rather than 6 here, 3 there ITMS?

The not knowing what is happening with my body drives me NUTS

    Anyone been through something similar?

it's not uncommon for AF to be all over the place when still BF hun. as much as it may have been a four week cycle a couple of times, it can throw you a curve ball and end up being a 10 week cycle next time. hopefully it's a BFP with low numbers though!

    Thanks BG and Skybie.

Skybie ~ I have used a pregnosis, first response, something similar to the first response and a test that came with all the O' ones from ebay.

I am kinda hoping I am UTD, doubt it but still hoping but man I hate the thought of having an irregular cycle, 10 weeks and no AF might be more than I could handle imagine being on a TWW and waiting that long

Think I might need to buy some more O tests

OMG BG are you serious? are you counting from when your DD was first born to your first cycle? holy crap ....... hmmmmm weaning is looking a bit better than not especially if we want #2 (or 3).

Dd only BF to sleep and IF she wakes up early say 4am onwards and feeds back to sleep then we don't do the breaky feed. I am freightened to stop feeding her to sleep because she won't go down without it ... the longest she has lasted has been 4 hours and by then she was such a mess that we completely slept through breaky and almost to lunch.

Just did another test got another bfn so I think I will assume not preggers and just pray for AF

nah, it wasn't after her birth (AF was here at 6.5 months and has been 6-10 weeks ever since - this is honestly the most regular i have EVER been!) - this was 2005 - April to December. up til that point, it had been about 4-6 months from when i was 16 (and when i did bleed, it was for anything up to 6 weeks at a time). after that, we started the AC journey and i was down to about 8 weeks between cycles - this has been the most regular i've ever been - still all over the place though. one cycle i bleed properly, next i spot for a few weeks with nasty clots but no flow (this is what i've just been through). messing with my head something shocking!

DD won't go to sleep for me without a feed first. will for Daddy though (i was sitting 2m or less away today and she went to sleep without a feed cos daddy cuddled her. she rarely resettles overnight without a feed. i guess i'm not in a rush to wean though because we're not going through AC again, so chances are slim we'd conceive - i'm just letting E do her thing so i can't really offer much advice there
