    Light spotting 7dpo - what's going on?!

I've started charting again as we plan on TTC #2 from March 2011. I'm roughly 7dpo and I'm spotting - old blood. I had the exact same thing when I fell PG with DD but I'm almost certain I can't be pregnant. We DTD around ovulation but besides a tiny bit of unprotected fooling around (I literally mean 30 seconds, maybe less!) we were protected and the condom didn't break. We've only DTD that once this month!!!

So what else could be going on? My cycles are super regular and I've only had mid cycle spotting once - when PG with DD Could it be the heat over here in WA? Anything else?! It's just so weird and not like me at all. I'm on CD 23 so it can't be my period - at least I highly doubt it. Like I said, I'm little Miss regular!

    Thoughts?

Maybe the unprotected fooling around? lol Im not sure I always thought if you spotted around that time it was implantation bleeding :/

I am predicting another beautiful September bub for you!

But it could just be a random event, I guess time will tell.

LOL! Another Sept bub was exactly what we were hoping to avoid as all three grandchildren (on my side) are within 2 weeks of each other, all Sept! My mum would be thrilled! PMSL!

It would be a nice and (totally!!) unexpected surprise but part if me hopes it's random. I liked March as the 'Open Season' (lol) date!

I think having two September bubs is great!

Have you recently stopped taking the pill?

Nothing against 2 Sept bubs, we just didn't plan on another in Sept! We may have no say in the matter now though, lol

Nope, not recently off the pill. I took the mini pill for about 3 months when DD was 8ish weeks. My periods started again when DD was about 11mths (I think!) and have been really regular since - no random mid cycle spotting. Hmmm

Ohh I hear you with the no more in September, my month is May. There are 4 grandchildren on my DH's side that are May babies and if I didn't have a miscarriage in October it would be 5. On my side of the family we have 3, would have been 4... busy month!

I am currently in the same situation as you, I had very light spotting at 7DPO and today at 9DPO I have more but it is heavier, we only DTD once and according to FF it was on 1DPO... maybe it is wrong this month

Best of luck, I hope you get the result you are wishing for xx

    Stalking with interest.
The only thing I can think of is implantation. Especially given it happened when you were UTD with DD1.

Looking forward to the outcome in the next couple of days

Daintree - OMG, that would have been a really full on month!!! My mum was thrilled when we fell PG with DD but she was a bit 'not another September baby!' Fingers crossed your spotting is a little bubba nestling in

CBG - I'll be sure to provide updates in this thread!

Taurean, it could be quite cool - you can have a big family joint birthday party for all of the kids.

It would be hilarious really - all four in Sept!

I'm pretty sure it's my period coming - very early though. I've just spotted again (still brown) and I have a few niggles like period pain. I'm also really teary! It is unusual for it to start so early but I guess periods can be a bit random after pg & BF, right?

They can be very random, I know mine are! However when I was pregnant with Miss A I spotted for 3 days around implantation and I had period pains so you never know. You'll just have to wait a few more days... hard work isn't it! I am in the same boat, analizing ever symptom

I would agree with the other ladies - implantation bleeding.... my gf had the exact same thing with on/off spotting until she tested positive. GL

Hmmm, if we'd been actively trying then I'd think UTD for sure. But we only went unprotected for such a short time and WAY before DH finished I just can't imagine that could be 'enough'. I guess it only takes one spermy but seriously, in pre-ejaculation fluid??

Spotting continues, still brown, and I'm an emotional bat case. It could go either way Sunday is my due date. I'll probably test Monday or late Sunday as we are away with friends for the next 4 days. Place your bets ladies!

My AF's were a bit random after PG and BFing and regular used to be my middle name! My guess would be that your cycles are still getting back to normal (even though I can't see your ticker so have no idea how old your bub is!). I hope it's a sneaky BFP though.. Much more exciting!

Thx Stoked - I think it may be that too although I've had my periods back for 5 months now and they've been like clock work really and definitely no spotting except within 24 hours of AF (28 day cycles). DD is 15 months now and stopped BF 2 weeks before her first birthday.

A sneaky BFP would be amazing but it just doesn't add up ie lack of semen, lol!
