Play ideas for 1 year old

Does anyone have any creative play ideas for 1 year olds? DD is 14 months and not yet walking, but looking like she will within the next month or so.

Apart from playing with toys we read a lot of books, sing songs, go to the park, blow bubbles, and used to watch Sesame Street but have decided to cut TV out completely since this will apparently increase the risk of ADHD. (EEEKKK!!)

    Great suggestions Peach!

I would also suggest pointing things out & naming them and their colour/s. Also feeling different textures of things - eg: bark, grass, fabrics & naming how they feel ie: soft, hard, rough etc...

Thanks! She is still putting things in her mouth, so paint would get eaten, but that will be a great activity when she can do it properly!

My little one is a few weeks younger than yours and she is still putting things in her mouth (alot) but we do finger painting and suprisingly she doesn't put it in her mouth, maybe it is worth trying? Do you have a sandpit, my DD loves ours.
